2019 Christmas Party

On Saturday, December 14th, we had our annual Christmas Party that went well. Fifty-three people all ate well, Prime Rib and a great selection of potluck dishes. Everyone had a great time. I was proud of our club, and the effort by everyone to help make this one of the best Christmas Parties ever.

St. Joe River Chapter Challenge

Congratulations to the Battle Creek Steelheaders winning the Traveling Trophy for the Winter Challenge, 67 Fishermen,28 Boats caught 55 fish. Battle Creek 35.33 lbs. South West 29.48 lbs.

2019 Kalamazoo River Trout Quest

We had great turnout for Kalamazoo River Trout Quest. We had 27 fishermen in 11 boats competing for $175.00 in prize money. 24 fish were caught and the results are as follows. Subway Sandwiches were served again and we were done by 2:30 again. Thanks to everyone for showing up.

• 1st place: Nate Shur  29.14 lbs.

• 3rd place: Paul Lajoie 22.8 lbs

• 4th place: Don Oman 14.7 lbs

Great turnout for the River Tournament held on October 19th with 31 fishermen in 13 boats.

2019 Lake Michigan Memorial

We had great Lake Michigan Memorial Tournament at South Haven this past Saturday with 8 Boats with 21 people fishing.

• 1st place: Rolfe Niezel 9 fish 75 lbs
  

• 2nd place: Greg Peck, Dave Middleton, Ben Knoll 9 fish 70.4 lbs

• 3rd place: Frank Lash 8 fish 56.14 lbs

• Big Fish: Jerry Knapper 22.25

2019 Trip Swap

Had a great weekend with our Trip Swap friends. Almost got our limit on Saturday and we got our limit on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who worked to put this event together and everyone who participated, it certainly was a great dinner. Looking forward to next year.

2019 Lake Michigan Coho Blast

Saturday, April 6 Coho Blast. We had perfect weather 7 boats with 23 people, weighing in 51 Fish. 1st place, Tim Eager 2nd place, Kurt Stark 3rd place, Dave Foster. Big Fish winner, John Bibbings boat.

2019 St. Joe River Chapter Challenge

We had 15 fisherman for the Chapter Challenge caught 11 fish Battle Creek Chapter caught 4 fish and South West caught 7 with the Traveling Trophy going to South West with a 3 fish weight of 24.11 lbs to 15.5 lbs for Battle Creek. Ben Knoll caught the largest fish for Battle Creek 7.3 lbs. and Rich Ford caught a fish weighing 10.2 for big fish for Southwest also biggest for the Tournament.
